How does the modular system work?

Switching from one model to another takes only a few seconds. The magic happens in our sole: thanks to the integrated grooves, you can attach and swap any upper you want. And with the velcro base inside the sole, you can insert and interchange any insole freely. Everything is 100% interchangeable, whether you want to change the color, the material, or the model.

Each upper comes with a small embossed mark on the back that shows three important details: the upper size (for example, size 37), whether it is the right or left upper, and the exact grooves where it should be attached on the sole. The sole itself is numbered so you can easily identify where each piece fits, making the assembly simple, intuitive, and mistake-proof.

If at any point you’re not able to assemble it or don’t fully understand the process, we have a dedicated section at the bottom of our website called ‘How I build it?’. There, you’ll find two different tutorial formats to guide you step by step and help you through the entire process.

Are the uppers and soles compatible with all models?

Yes, 100%! That’s the magic of Seyes. ALL uppers and insoles are compatible with the same sole, whether it’s an open style, closed model, a summer version or a winter one.

Everything is fully modular and interchangeable.

Are the shoes comfortable for walking long distances?

Absolutely yes. We designed several comfort features to support long walks. The sole includes a soft foam layer under the velcro that works like a cloud-cushion, absorbing impact with every step. The side grooves are not only part of the modular system, they also allow air to flow in and out as you walk, keeping the foot ventilated. And the insole (1.5 cm high) is extremely soft and supportive, making the shoes ideal for long days, travel, and everyday adventures.

Can I wash the uppers, and how should I clean them?

We recommend being careful when washing your Seyes. The sole is waterproof, so cleaning it is no problem at all. For the insole and the upper, we suggest using a soft towel with lukewarm water and gently cleaning the areas you want. Using washing machines or strong chemical products may deform, fade, or even damage the materials.

How durable are the soles and the switching mechanism?

The sole is extremely durable. After multiple laboratory tests, the grooves proved to withstand over 100 kg of pulling force. The sole is also engineered to flex thousands of times without affecting its performance or the modular system. In short, the switching mechanism is built to last and stay reliable over long time.

And if one day you no longer want a piece, or it eventually breaks after years of use, we offer a special program called ‘Recycled Returns’. You can send the pieces back to us, and we reuse the materials for future production. It’s part of our commitment to circular design and reducing waste.

How long does it take to switch from one model to another?

Once you understand the concept of how to swap the pieces... switching a full model (upper and insole) usually takes around 30 seconds on average.

Can I swap the pieces by myself?

Absolutely yes! That’s exactly what Seyes is about. You can take any accessories you want, wherever and whenever you need them, and swap the pieces of your shoes completely by yourself. This is the beauty of our modular system!

You can travel with many combinations without taking up any space. All you need is one sole and all the uppers and insoles you want.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping takes between 3 and 5 days. We use sustainable delivery methods, which means we avoid sending half-empty trucks just for some boxes. Instead, we ship in weekly batches, making sure we use the transport space efficiently and avoid unnecessary second trips.

Is there a warranty on the product?

Yes, all our products come with a 2-year warranty that covers manufacturing defects or damaged items.

However, the warranty does not apply if a piece is broken due to incorrect assembly by the customer or if the product is damaged through improper use or handling.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! Shipping is included, you only pay for the product, never for the delivery.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship to Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.

What happens if my package arrives damaged?

If your package arrives with a damaged box but the product inside is still in perfect condition, you may choose whether to keep it or send it back for a replacement.


If both the box and the product are damaged, we will send you a new identical item right away, ensuring you receive exactly what you ordered.
